After years of admiring DCBC’s live music set-up I am excited to play on their stage for the first time!

Excited to be back at Delta Beer Lab! We’ll be playing as a full band, including Emily Mills on cajon, Austin Lynch on bass, Charlie Koz on guitar and banjo, and Maddie on vocals, guitar, and keys. A rare & special occasion in which the band will be playing together again!

This will be my first show back in Madison after moving to New York! I am so excited to play an intimate solo LINE set for you all, in a lineup with 2 artists I love:

Bear in the Forest is a Madison-based indie folk trio (vocals & guitar / percussion / cello.) The songs of Bear In The Forest howl with spiritualism. They are built around folk music in the oldest, barest sense: joy and pain and a guitar coming together. You may find yourself in the North Woods staring at pine tree framed star lit skies, sailing through stormy waters, facing creatures of the night, or simply enjoying a piece of pie. With guitar, striking vocals, and a loop pedal, Bear’s live performances take you on a journey through sounds of indie folk, Americana, jazz, and country.

Luscia Jane is a 6-piece Forest Funk band from Chicago with a unique style that mixes soul, psychedelic rock, jazz, world, folk, and funk, embodies inspiration from nature, and holds environmental activism via spiritual connection at the helm of its message.

Maddie Batzli (on vocals/acoustic guitar) and Emily Mills (on cajon) will play an acoustic set at Wetmore Park in Sun Prairie, WI!

Sun Prairie Concerts in the Park and Sun Prairie Pride Alliance are co-hosting this show as a kickoff event to Sun Prairie’s Pride celebration which will happen the following day.

Join us for Singer Songwriter Sunday at New Leaf Espresso in Somerville, for a midday show featuring NY-based LINE and Samantha Marie, and Boston-based Nora Meier and Tessa Brown. Acoustic, intimate sets in a laid-back atmosphere.

An indie pop project unafraid to stretch and play with labels, LINE weaves singer-songwriter sensibilities with multi-genre arrangements. For the past 7 years, vocalist Maddie Batzli has worked with close collaborators to create songs that include multi-part harmonies, intricate basslines, folk instrumentation, ghostly electric guitar riffs, and synth tracks. Core bandmates include Austin Lynch and Esther Chun who have been collaborators in the project since its origin, as well as current bandmates Emily Mills and Aux Doucette. LINE’s soaring vocals, playful stage presence, wide-ranging instrumentation, and advocacy for human rights has earned them a place as a staple in Madison’s indie pop scene.

Seeking a change of pace through a minimalist side project, Batzli and guitarist/producer Charlie Koz are releasing The Woodside Sessions EP as an acoustic duo in September 2025. This new release centers vocals drawing comparison to Natalie Merchant, Enya, and Dolores O’Riordan (of the Cranberries,) and arrangements reminiscent of Bon Iver and Sufjan Stevens. Koz and Batzli are touring the EP during the month of September across the east coast and the midwest, concluding with a bittersweet final show in Madison on October 3 at the Harmony before their move to Brooklyn, NY. The October 3 show will showcase songs from the new EP in LINE’s acoustic duo configuration, as well as a set with the full band, including fan favorites from over the years. Although this show marks a transition into a different era, LINE will continue on as a project, exploring remote collaboration and a wide range of genres. 

A culmination of many years of deep friendship and collaboration, this is a show you will not want to miss!
